Haven Impact
Improving mental health and wellbeing by addressing the root causes of poor mental health and inequality across London and beyond.
What We Do
We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to improving mental health and wellbeing for everyone. We partner with communities to design, deliver and improve solutions that support mental health and wellbeing. From early action and intervention to recovery and long-term wellbeing, we help people access the support, connections and opportunities they need to thrive. Our work addresses the social factors that shape mental health, including isolation, inequality, financial hardship and social exclusion, creating stronger, healthier and more resilient communities.

Recovery, Resilience
& Thriving
We work with communities to create the conditions for good mental health and wellbeing. Through awareness, education, community engagement and early action, we reduce stigma, strengthen resilience and address the social factors that contribute to poor mental health, including isolation, poverty, inequality and lack of opportunity.
We help people access support at the earliest opportunity. Through peer support, family support, wellbeing programmes and culturally responsive outreach, we identify needs early, improve outcomes and connect people to the resources, relationships and opportunities that support wellbeing.
We support people to recover, build confidence and realise their potential. Through mentoring, skills development, leadership opportunities, social inclusion and community participation, we help people strengthen their wellbeing, improve their life chances and contribute to thriving communities.
Areas of focus
We work across six interconnected areas that influence mental health, reduce inequalities and strengthen communities.
Supporting communities to shape decisions, influence change, build local leadership and develop solutions that reflect their strengths, needs and aspirations.
Promoting positive mental health, preventing distress, supporting recovery and helping people thrive at every stage of life.
Addressing the inequalities, barriers and discrimination that affect wellbeing and limit people's opportunities to live healthy and fulfilling lives.
Creating pathways to learning, skills development, leadership, employment and economic participation that strengthen wellbeing, improve life chances and help people reach their full potential.
Using research, lived experience and community insight to improve practice, influence policy and drive more equitable systems.
Working with partners across Africa and the Global South to advance community-led approaches to mental health, wellbeing and sustainable development.
Our approach
Every programme is guided by principles that place people, communities and lived experience at the centre of change.
We work alongside communities to identify priorities, shape solutions and drive lasting change. Local knowledge, strengths and lived experience inform everything we do.
We recognise that every person's experience is unique. Our work is tailored to individual strengths, needs, aspirations and circumstances.
We create safe, supportive and empowering environments that recognise the impact of trauma and promote trust, healing and resilience.
We reflect and respect the diverse identities, experiences and strengths of the communities we serve, ensuring our work is inclusive, relevant and accessible.
We work in partnership with communities, public services, charities, educators, employers and other stakeholders to improve outcomes and create lasting change.
We combine research, data, best practice and lived experience to reduce inequalities, remove barriers and ensure everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
